Our sessions are intentionally calm and uncomplicated, with your horse remaining in the comfort of their familiar home environment. For blackout portraits, no elaborate studio or specialist setup is required; a simple barn or stable doorway is all we need to create the dramatic backdrop. A rope head collar is used throughout for safety and peace of mind, and is discreetly removed during editing where appropriate. If you prefer, your horse can also be photographed wearing their bridle, allowing you to choose the look that best reflects your horse and your vision for the finished artwork.

The result is a beautifully considered piece of fine art, created around your horse, rather than forcing them into an unfamiliar setting.
